Cost comparisons are often made when using LGSF structure on a project with Reinforced Concrete (RC) frame or Timber frame. However, in order to compare like for like, one must consider all of the benefits that LGSF brings. During construction stage for example, LGSF frame  provides the load bearing structure, perimeter walls, internal walls and staircase. The costs need to complete all of these elements when comparing against RC frame of Timber.

One of the most important benefits LGSF frame provide is that the site installation is very quick, therefore reducing overall project construction programme. This enables quicker return on investment and saves on finance costs.

Based on the above and from our previous experiences of working as a developer, main contractor and sub contractor, we can state that there is an approximately 20% cost benefit over the course of the project.
